A confidential private family is seeking a dedicated Private Educator to provide educational and developmental support to a 4-year-old child in a dynamic household setting. Private Educator Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (advanced degree preferred) and direct experience applying said degree(s)
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Governess, Private Educator, or high-level Nanny with young children
- Knowledge of Montessori and/or International Baccalaureate curriculum
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with principals/guardians on learning objectives
- Warm, grounded presence with demonstrated humility, adaptability, and emotional intelligence
- Ability to travel up to 40–45% of the year, both domestically and internationally
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license and passport
Private Educator Must Haves
- Collaborate with the female principal to design and adjust curriculum tailored to the child’s development
- Provide daily enrichment activities that foster intellectual, social, and emotional growth
- Establish and reinforce consistent, respectful discipline and boundaries
- Ensure seamless continuity of routines and education during travel, demonstrating flexibility in dynamic settings
- Work collaboratively with parents and household staff to align on routines and expectations
- Maintain absolute confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of the role
Private Educator Preferred Background & Skills
- Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, or related field
- Multilingual ability (French, Spanish, or Mandarin highly desirable)
- Experience supporting international travel and cross-cultural exposure for children
- Background in enrichment areas such as music, art, or sports coaching
- Prior experience in private households or UHNW family settings
- Confidence with household technology and organizational systems
