Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced and highly organized Property Manager to lead daily operations for a multifamily apartment community. The ideal candidate is service-driven, detail-oriented, and skilled in resident relations, leasing management, financial oversight, and vendor coordination. This role serves as the face of the community—ensuring an exceptional living experience while maximizing occupancy and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Leasing & Resident Relations
- Maintain high occupancy through effective leasing, renewals, and resident retention strategies
- Ensure exceptional customer service—address resident concerns promptly and professionally
- Enforce community policies, Fair Housing laws, lease terms, and safety standards
Operations & Administration
- Oversee daily community operations, office procedures, and maintenance workflows
- Complete all documentation: leases, notices, reports, property files, audits, and move-in/move-out procedures
- Manage maintenance requests, vendor scheduling, and preventive maintenance coordination
Financial Management
- Oversee rent collection, delinquency follow-up, and financial reporting
- Assist with budget preparation and ensure community meets financial goals
- Review invoices, approve purchases, and monitor expenses
Marketing & Outreach
- Execute marketing strategies, online listings, social media efforts, and outreach to improve traffic
- Ensure model units, amenities, and grounds are market-ready and tour-ready
- Plan and promote resident events and retention initiatives
Leadership & Team Support
- Supervise leasing and maintenance staff; assist with hiring and training
- Support a positive, team-focused work environment
Qualifications
- 2–4+ years of property management or multifamily housing experience
- Strong knowledge of Fair Housing laws and compliance
- Proficient in major property management systems (Yardi, RealPage/OneSite, AppFolio, ResMan, etc.)
- Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and lead a team
- Weekend availability as needed
Preferred
- CAM, CAPS, or other industry certifications (optional but a plus)
- Lease-up experience
- Budgeting and financial reporting strengths
