Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical for a permanent opportunity in Gainesville, Florida.
This role offers the opportunity to support multiple medical-surgical units while working alongside a collaborative and supportive nursing team. The Float Pool RN provides high-quality, patient-centered care and demonstrates flexibility while floating across designated Med-Surg units. ONLY Medical-Surgical experience will be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a patient and family advocate, ensuring privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop appropriate nursing diagnoses.
• Provide plan-based, evidence-driven care with a focus on continuous quality improvement.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate flexibility while floating across multiple Medical-Surgical units.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Available Shifts
• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (rotating weekends)
• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (rotating weekends)
• Schedule: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Compensation
Hourly Pay
• Flat rate: $43.00 per hour (regardless of years of experience)
Shift Differentials
• Night Shift Differential: $4.25/hour
• Weekend Differential: $3.00/hour
Additional Compensation
• Sign-On Bonus: $20,000
• Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis
Requirements:
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent (within the last 2 years) acute care Medical-Surgical RN experience REQUIRED.
• ONLY Medical-Surgical experience will be considered.
• Flexibility to float across multiple Medical-Surgical units is required.
• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
• AHCA Level 2 background screening and fingerprinting required.
Licensure Considerations
• Candidates with 3 or more years of RN experience and a compact license may be considered and will be required to apply for a Florida RN license.
• Candidates with less than 3 years of RN experience without a Florida RN license must obtain Florida licensure prior to consideration.
