Job Description A Day in the Shop
Step into our Tampa, FL facility and take charge of a precision sheet metal folding brake used to form roofing and architectural components. From powering up and verifying specs to delivering accurate bends, you’ll own a key stage of our production flow.
What You’ll Do
- Set up the folding machine based on work orders and specifications, verifying tooling and parameters before the first bend.
- Operate the folder to produce parts to exact measurements, consistently monitoring throughput and part quality.
- Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance to keep the machine running smoothly and safely.
- Inspect finished parts, making real-time adjustments to achieve precise angles and dimensions.
- Maintain a clean, orderly workstation and follow all safety protocols.
- Partner with teammates and supervisors to hit daily and weekly production targets.
- Accurately document production counts, settings, and machine performance data.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machine operation is a plus.
- Experience operating a folding machine or similar metal-forming equipment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and strong math skills, with the ability to interpret roof pitches and calculate exact bend degrees.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with production deadlines.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including overtime when needed.
Location & Schedule
This role is based in Tampa, FL. Work hours may vary to support production demand; overtime may be required.
