Job Description
The Lab Technician I is responsible for handling raw materials, intermediate, and marketed products in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and company standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Responsibilities
- Receive and process daily raw materials, including both GMP and Non-GMP items, according to SOPs.
- Monitor and manage departmental supplies, requesting orders as necessary.
- Distribute materials to applicable departments and maintain an orderly and clean warehouse.
- Perform cycle counts and inventory management tasks.
- Build and deliver plasma pools to manufacturing, ensuring proper storage in the freezer area.
- Conduct preventative maintenance (PMs) weekly and check temperature charts daily.
- Adhere to all safety standards and perform data entry into networked systems, including SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Maintain accurate temperature logs for the warehouse.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in PC and office application software.
- Knowledge of automated shipping and inventory systems, SAP preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of internal SOPs and cGMP requirements.
- Pharmaceutical experience preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Some college education preferred.
Work Environment
The work environment includes frequent trips to Freezer areas with temperatures ranging from 2-8 degrees Celsius, and work in clean room ante rooms. The shift is from 3 pm to 11 pm, with potential occasional after-hours and weekend work. Physical activities such as standing, kneeling, climbing, lifting, pulling, and carrying materials weighing up to 75 pounds are required. The role may involve potential exposure to airborne particles, chemicals, fumes, and other conditions typical of a manufacturing, laboratory, or warehouse environment. Occasional travel for training and to offsite warehouses by personal automobile or company vehicle is expected.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
