This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing systems in a clean, safety-first environment at FHP Manufacturing, a joint venture between Robert Bosch (Bosch Group) and Carrier. We’re a leader in energy-efficient heating and cooling solutions, producing geothermal and water-source heat pumps right here in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical and electrical production equipment, including motors, pumps, fans, conveyors, and more.
  • Disassemble machinery to repair or replace broken or worn parts, and adjust mechanical components as needed.
  • Perform diagnostics on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Interpret and work from machine assembly drawings, blueprints, schematics, manuals, and verbal instructions.
  • Maintain machine records, update documentation, and support preventative maintenance efforts.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with established safety procedures and industry best practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to continuous improvement in quality and efficiency.

Work Schedule:

  • 2nd Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, with occasional Saturday overtime as required.
  • Training: Must be available to train on 1st Shift for approximately the first six weeks.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years working with machine drive trains, precision spindles, pneumatic, hydraulic, and fluid systems.
  • 3+ years of hands-on troubleshooting and failure analysis of production equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and experience using hand tools and shop equipment.
  • 2+ years of MS Office experience (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with machine shop tools including lathes, grinders, milling machines, stamping, and brake presses.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, automation controls, and electrical schematics.
  • Plumbing, mechanical, and electrical repair skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
  • Strong initiative and curiosity—proactive in solving problems and learning new systems.
  • Comfortable working independently or in a team setting.
  • Journeyman machinist level experience is a plus.
