Education Two (2) Years of College
Experience / Qualifications
American Registry Radiologic Technologists in MRI- ARRT, (R), (MR) and /or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists – ARMRIT. American Heart Association BLS, for Heath Care Provider
2 years’ experience performing MRI/MRA.
Advanced training in breast MRI and vascular MPR/IVI post processing. Proficient computer skills. Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
Position Summary
The MRI Technologist performs all MRI/MRA procedures, abdominal, pelvic, head/skull, thorax, breast, and extremities. Excellent knowledge of the human anatomy & pathology and uses this knowledge to provide quality MRI images for interpretation. Demonstrated knowledge of advanced computer applications including PACS and Image manipulation for image enhancement.
Demonstrated understanding of the principals involved in MRI and the ability to adjust them to each patient. Participates and supports continuous quality improvement.
Performs other duties as assigned.
