Position Overview
The Workers Comp Associate will assist in managing and defending workers' compensation claims, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role requires a detailed understanding of litigation, negotiation, and the intricacies of workers' compensation defense.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of workers' compensation cases from inception to resolution
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Attend hearings and depositions as necessary
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
  • Work closely with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical professionals to gather necessary information
  • Maintain accurate case files and documentation
  • Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations

Qualifications

  • Jurisdiction-specific law degree
  • Active bar membership in relevant state
  • 1-3 years of experience in workers' compensation defense or related litigation
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities
