Job Description

As a Repair Technician, you will perform repair and overhaul duties within our 145-repair station. You must adhere to the Repair Station Quality Control Manual, Component Maintenance Manuals, and all 14 CFR Aviation Regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot to the component level.
  • Ensure the quality of work of non-certified technicians.
  • Inspect incoming parts and review supporting documentation (FAA 8130-3 and C of C).
  • Inspect, test, and troubleshoot at the board level.
  • Diagnose, test, repair, and prepare products for return to service, certifying conformity of products.
  • Complete test results, teardown reports, traceability, and return to service documentation (8130-3 if applicable and C of C).
  • Undergo recurrent training on an annual basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Essential Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in electronics or avionics installation and repair.
  • Experience with electronics repair, troubleshooting, and installation.
  • Currently holds, or has held, an FAA Repairman Certificate.
  • Proficiency in assembly, schematic reading, electrical work, oscilloscope usage, soldering, mechanical work, blueprint reading, PCB, wiring, and multimeter usage.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • A&P and/or Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) certificate is a plus.
  • Commercial or military flight avionics experience preferred.
  • Experience with Emergency Locator Transmitters (ELTs) is highly desired.
  • Experience reading Component Maintenance Manuals, drawings, and schematics.
  • General knowledge of FAA requirements for a FAR 145 repair station.
  • Associate’s degree in electronics or equivalent military training.
  • Experience dealing with Aviation OEMs is preferred.

Work Environment

The position operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with occasional overtime. The work environment is air-conditioned, ensuring comfort during working hours.

This is a Contract position based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.85/hr.
