We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and a passion for helping individuals achieve their maximum potential. This role involves working with diverse populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities, to develop and implement effective treatment plans that enhance daily living skills and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' needs and develop individualized care plans to address their specific challenges.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Conduct discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions for patients leaving care settings.
- Provide therapy services in various settings, including acute care, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, and home health environments.
- Work closely with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities to implement tailored therapeutic strategies.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology in evaluating and treating patients.
- Engage in case management activities to coordinate care effectively.
- Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.
- Participate in early intervention programs for children requiring specialized support.
Requirements:
Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Pediatrics: Experience working with children in clinical or school settings.
- Geriatrics: Knowledge of age-related challenges and interventions for older adults.
- Acute Care: Familiarity with fast-paced hospital environments, including ICU experience.
- Occupational Health: Understanding workplace rehabilitation and ergonomics.
- Skilled Nursing Facility: Experience providing therapy in long-term care settings.
- Home Health: Ability to deliver therapy services in patients' homes.
- Outpatient Clinic: Experience working in a clinic setting providing therapy services.
