Your Work Schedule

Enjoy a flexible 1st shift schedule from Monday to Friday, with options of:

  • 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Your Responsibilities

As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will:

  • Evaluate specimen acceptability for testing based on established criteria.
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental SOPs.
  • Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
  • Make informed technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving.
  • Prepare and evaluate new reagents or controls.
  • Deliver accurate and timely test results to ensure quality patient care.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety protocols.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
  • A valid Florida Medical Technologist Generalist license.
  • Previous clinical laboratory testing experience (highly preferred).
  • ASCP or AMT certification (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts as needed.

Working Conditions

To ensure patient safety, successful candidates will complete medical surveillance testing, including TB testing and proof of immunity for certain vaccinations. Labcorp is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for those with medical or religious exemptions.
