Job DescriptionJob Summary

Mika by Michael White is seeking an experienced and service-driven Floor Manager to lead front-of-house operations during service. The Floor Manager plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by overseeing daily service execution, supporting the service team, and upholding the standards of a Michael White–led dining experience. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise front-of-house operations during lunch and dinner service

  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences through active floor presence and table engagement

  • Support, coach, and motivate servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff

  • Maintain service standards, pacing, and presentation consistent with the Mika brand

  • Handle guest feedback, concerns, and special requests with professionalism and urgency

  • Coordinate closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow

  • Assist with staff scheduling, break management, and shift coverage as needed

  • Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and end-of-day reports

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years of management experience in upscale or fine-dining restaurants

  • Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  • Hands-on management style with strong problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with POS systems and reservation platforms

  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Guest-first mindset with a passion for hospitality

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
