Now Hiring: Parts and Equipment Fleet Manager – GPS & Heavy Equipment Expertise Required
Are you an experienced Fleet Manager with a strong background in GPS technology and managing heavy equipment such as Excavators, Loaders, and Dozers? We want to hear from you! Join our team and help lead the maintenance, tracking, and optimization of our equipment and parts inventory. Your expertise will play a key role in keeping our operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source parts for field alerts (including doing research for existing inventory prior to placing purchase order to supplier).
- Support for emergencies and urgent calls including tracking part shipments and coordinating with technician/mechanic and/or equipment operator.
- Provide inventory transaction support including manual adjustments and inventory counts.
- Maintain an up-to-date master equipment list for accounting asset tracking and insurance purposes amongst others.
- Monitor and transfer under-utilized equipment within the company.
- Assist/Manage /Oversee: Related items to fleet/equipment such as In Cab cameras, GPS systems, and daily truck inspections, etc.
- Lift and Mobility: Regularly lift (up to) 50 lbs. and perform tasks that require walking, standing, and climbing throughout the day.
- Communication: Maintain proactive communication with the Shop Foreman about equipment, parts and project status.
- Equipment Care: Exercise proper care and maintenance of all company equipment.
- Work Hours: Willingness to work over 40 hours per week, including overtime and some weekends.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Parts and Equipment Fleet Manager or in a similar role in logistics or transportation.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in using fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills to assess data related to equipment and/or vehicle performance and costs.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and external partners.
