Job Description

Craftsmen Contractors is currently seeking an experienced HVAC Sheet Metal/Ductwork Mechanics for work in the Jacksonville, Florida area. This is for ongoing commercial projects. This is a temp to permanent position for the right candidate.

Sheet Metal Mechanics: $24-$26/hr. depending on experience

No per diem is offered.

Weekly pay by direct deposit or paycard. Schedule is Monday thru Friday working day shifts. Start time is usually 7am.

Job Duties:

Fabricate, assemble, install, and hang sheet metal products and equipment, such as ducts, control boxes, and drain pipes.
Section cutting to assemble commercial rigid air conditioning duct work / systems, reading and interpreting blueprints of large chillers, specialized package units and also understanding electrical components such as lighting, panel boxes and building automation.
Field fabricate, install and hang ducts and duct fittings, doing paperwork, adhering to company procedures, and following safety procedures.
You will also help repair existing systems, test and examine systems for quality and make plans and material estimates for each project.

Job Requirements:

Should have at least 3 years of sheet metal/ductwork experience
Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams
Ability to handle physical workload
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Will need to have appropriate basic hand tools, all PPE and reliable transportation to get to the job site.
