We are seeking a skilled and motivated Residential Real Estate Paralegal to support our legal team in all aspects of residential real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of real estate laws and procedures. This role involves assisting with the preparation and review of documents, managing client communications, and ensuring that all aspects of the real estate transaction process are handled efficiently and accurately.

Essential functions of the position include, but, are not limited to:

  • Assist attorneys with all phases of residential real estate transactions from initial contract to closing.
  • Coordinate with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and lenders to ensure smooth transaction processes.
  • Coordinate due diligence for residential real estate transactions.
  • Manage transaction timelines, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure that all parties meet their obligations.
  • Review and summarize title commitments and surveys.
  • Work closely with title companies to clear title and obtain title policies.
  • Prepare and file a variety of documents, including deeds, mortgages, memoranda of leases, UCC financing statements, etc.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files, both physical and electronic.
  • Close and satisfy permits and code violations with different municipalities.
  • Prepare closing binders.
  • Prepare closing statements.
  • Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and address questions or concerns and the status of their transactions.

Requirements

  • 2 year of residential real estate experience
  • Strong understanding of residential real estate laws and procedures.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments while delivering consistent, quality work product to both attorneys and clients
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with legal research tools and software.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
