Active Respiratory Therapist license and 2+ years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exciting opportunity is available for experienced Respiratory Therapists with Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials to provide specialized care at a Level 4 NICU. This contract role, based in Pompano Beach, FL, focuses on the respiratory care of neonatal and pediatric patients, including those who have undergone cardiac transplants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver prehensive respiratory care in a Level 4 NICU setting, primarily focusing on neonatal and cardiac transplant patients
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor and assess respiratory status and provide appropriate interventions
- Utilize advanced respiratory therapy equipment and techniques
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification is required
- Previous experience working in NICU environments with a focus on Level 4 care
- Familiarity with respiratory support for cardiac transplant patients
- Peds experience is beneficial but not required
- Ability to work night shifts as assigned
