We are seeking a Construction Manager to assist with various public infrastructure improvement projects from NTP, review of Pay Applications, review of SOV, review of schedule, review of Change Orders, manage Weekly OAC meeting, meeting minutes, punch list items, coordination with the client, designers, contractors and other project stakeholders, close out / commissioning and any other tasks needed to assure the construction project is on-time and within budget.


Responsibilities include.


· Support the project in establishing and implementing a safety culture to engage with ongoing field operations to meet the needs of the delivery teams.

· Support the project controls team to establish schedule control, cost control, change management, risk management and reporting tools.

· Act as the primary project interface with the designer, contractor, site operations (if applicable), and ongoing construction contracts.

· Oversees and monitor the construction team through site mobilization, execution, and demobilization activities, consistent with established project delivery processes to ensure the orderly, efficient, and timely completion of the project scope.

· Lead project meetings with contractor and stakeholders effectively delivering results in a timely manner.

· Actively evaluate, manage, and report on the status of the construction schedule and budget. Monitor the contract progress and make recommendations to client for contractor payments.

· Work to build a cooperative partnership between the client, contractor, and all stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of project issues and the overall success of the project.

· Lead the Team in monitoring construction contractor operations for process conformance with the approved quality control plan, schedules, proactive change management, pay requests, contract closeout, and record drawings in accordance with construction documents.

· Demonstrate effective risk management and mitigation practices through proper risk identification, assessment, tracking and communication.

· Ensure completion of the scope of work according to contract documents, while simultaneously ensuring that work safety, environmental compliance, and project performance expectations are upheld, including leading the construction team in establishing a site-wide safe working culture.

· Work with the Engineers, Owner, and Contractor to establish and implement start-up and commissioning plans and associated resources as requested.

· Manage the analysis of claims and change orders and to make recommendations to the client.

· Field supervision of construction work; ensures compliance with drawings and specifications, and best construction practices. Inspects construction work quality and reports findings back to Project Manager.

· Oversees and monitors quality control materials testing, analysis and reporting

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or related technical field. Experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.

· Minimum 8 years of previous experience in construction management or other related fields.

· Knowledge of construction management and scheduling software.

· Knowledge of the concepts, terminology, principles, and analytical techniques of an engineering specialty area.

· Knowledge of engineering design, construction, production and/or operations.

· Strong leadership qualities

· Skill in using engineering tools, equipment and/or instruments.

· Ability to plan, design, evaluate, analyze, interpret, and investigate engineering works and systems.

· Experience with bidding, negotiations, budgeting, planning, and project management are required.

· Strong understanding construction plans, contracts, and other related construction documentation

· Computer skills working with Word, Excel, Teams, and cloud-based file sharing formats.

· Problem solver, multitasker, detail-oriented

· Ability to determine work priorities, assign work, and ensure proper completion of work assignments.

· Ability to lead a team effectively, supervise, and resolve conflicts.

· Excellent time management and organizational skills.

· Familiarity with Civil 3D, Primavera, Bluebeam, and E-Builder.

· Solid verbal/written communication and interpersonal abilities

· Proficiency in project scheduling and coordination

· Must have a valid Florida driver’s license.
