Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) working in a pediatric outpatient clinic serving a K-12 school-aged population. This full-year contract position is located in Miami, FL, providing consistent work throughout the school year (CSY) with no travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech therapy services to children ages 2 to 18 presenting with mild to moderate delays
- Focus treatment on pragmatics, receptive and expressive language, reading, writing, articulation, and autism spectrum disorders (primarily high-functioning autism)
- Manage a caseload seeing one child per hour with a structured schedule including a one-hour lunch break
- Collaborate as part of an excellent multidisciplinary staff supporting outpatient pediatric services
Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA credentials aligned with school or healthcare settings
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in outpatient or school environments
- Proficient in addressing a range of speech and language delays, including articulation and pragmatic language skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse children and families
