An opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support pediatric outpatient services in a K-12 school setting located in Tavernier, FL. This full-year contract position involves working with a school-aged outpatient population, primarily children ages 2 to 18, presenting with mild to moderate communication challenges. The role focuses on providing therapy targeting pragmatics, receptive and expressive language, reading and writing delays, articulation, and high-functioning autism. The environment is low stress with a manageable schedule of one child per hour and a one-hour lunch break, with no travel required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech therapy to children within the outpatient clinic.
- Address speech and language needs, including autism spectrum-related communication, articulation, and literacy delays.
- Collaborate with school and healthcare staff to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of therapy sessions.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant in school and healthcare settings.
- Comfort working with pediatric populations ranging from toddlers to late adolescents.
