We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Elementary and Middle School Classroom Teacher Aide to join our team at The Willow School. The Teacher Aide will support classroom teachers in providing a positive and effective learning environment for students. This position involves assisting in the daily activities of the classroom, supporting students with their academic tasks, helping with classroom organization, and ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all students, providing supervision and activities during after school programing.
Position is Monday - Friday from 10:00am - 5:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the classroom teacher with daily lessons and classroom management.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping with reading, writing, math, and other academic tasks.
- Monitor students during class activities, ensuring they stay on task and follow school rules.
- Help prepare teaching materials and classroom resources.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including grading papers, organizing classroom materials, and maintaining student records.
- Help manage classroom behavior by implementing teacher-approved strategies.
- Supervise students during recess, lunch, and other school activities as needed.
- Promote a positive classroom culture through encouragement and positive reinforcement.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
