The Mindful Health Foundation is seeking an in-person Psychiatric APRN to join our team. The Psychiatric APRN will provide services including psychiatric and physical evaluations and medication management in conjunction with our CARF accredited Eating Disorder, Mental Health, and Substance Use Disorder Partial Hospitalization Program and Intensive Outpatient Program. MHF is a private, nationally accredited facility operating in north Naples since 2004. Our team includes our Board Certified Psychiatrist, LCSWs, LMHCs, Registered Dietitians, Body Image Therapist, and Art and Experiential Therapists. We are looking for a qualified professional with interest in working with a team and is invested in a long-term working relationship. This position is part-time with the possibility of future full-time employment and benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic mental illnesses
• Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
• Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
• Ability to work effectively with a treatment team
• Works in an independent and interdependent relationship with members of the medical staff, which allows for consultation, collaboration, or referral.
• Educates patients and/or families about mental health care, medical issues, and use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medications.
• Maintains legible, accurate, and confidential medical records. Documents all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatment, outcomes, education, referrals, and consultations consistent with CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities), and state regulatory standards.
• Facilitates evaluation of records by physician(s), peers, and receives and implements constructive directives.
• Works within the scope of the Florida Nurse Practitioner Guidelines and MHF's protocols.
• Performs complex administrative and office related activities requiring considerable judgment, high degree of initiative, and independent action.

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Psychiatric/Mental Health Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) = Required
• Master's or Doctoral Degree in Psychiatric Nursing = Required
• 2 years of post-master's clinical experience under the supervision of a Physician = Required
• Must have at least two years experience working with eating disorders and/or addiction as well as mental health disorders
• Must have previous work experience beyond outpatient services including Intensive Outpatient, Partial Hospitalization, and/or Residential level of care and be familiar with treating high acuity mental health issues
• This is an in-person position and we do not offer remote positions.
• Current certification and skill in basic life support (BLS)
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language fluently
• Spanish speaking a plus
• Experience with EMR systems
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with staff which includes: effective communication, getting along with coworkers and management and dealing efficiently and professionally under pressure
