We are looking for a dedicated Manufacturing Manager to join our team and play a key role in the continued success of H2O Amphibious. In this role, you'll lead a team of mechanics and technicians in maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the optimal performance of our specialized amphibious vehicle fleet.

Position Overview:

As the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical operations of our fleet, ensuring all vehicles meet high standards of safety, performance, and reliability. You will manage a team of mechanics, coordinate maintenance schedules, troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our vehicles. Your leadership and technical expertise will be integral in maintaining the trust H2O Amphibious has built within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Management: Lead and mentor a team of skilled mechanics and technicians in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of amphibious vehicles.
  • Vehicle Maintenance & Repairs: Oversee all mechanical maintenance of amphibious vehicles, including engines, propulsion systems, hydraulics, and electrical components.
  • Preventive Maintenance Program: Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to ensure the longevity and reliability of vehicles.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on amphibious vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inventory & Resource Management: Monitor and manage the ordering of parts, tools, and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance. Ensure the efficient use of resources and timely delivery of service.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all vehicles meet safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality control procedures. Promote a culture of safety and best practices within the team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as design, engineering, and production to ensure vehicles are properly maintained and issues are quickly addressed.
  • Training & Development: Provide training and guidance to your team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively. Promote continuous improvement in mechanical expertise.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Prepare reports for senior management on fleet performance and any ongoing issues.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience as a mechanic, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role in a related industry.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of vehicle systems, including propulsion, engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team of technicians and mechanics in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Exceptional troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively across departments.
  • Certifications: Relevant mechanical certifications (e.g., ASE, marine systems, heavy equipment) preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in varied environmental conditions (both indoors and outdoors). Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment as necessary.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with the design, production, or modification of amphibious vehicles.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and environmental regulations in the automotive or marine industries.
  • Familiarity with software systems for fleet management and maintenance tracking.
  • Experience in working with advanced diagnostics equipment and tools.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on experience.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
