Intensive Outpatient Primary Therapist
Location: Compassion Behavioral Health North Fort Lauderdale
Compassion Behavioral Health (CBH) is excited to announce the transition to our brand new outpatient location in North Fort Lauderdale and is seeking a dedicated, clinically strong IOP Therapist to serve as the primary therapist for our Intensive Outpatient Program.

Position Overview
The IOP Therapist will provide individual and group therapy services within our IOP programming, working with adult clients presenting with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. The therapist will play a key role in treatment planning, clinical documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration to support client progress and continuity of care.
Schedule
- MondayThursday: 12:00 PM 8:30 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary IOP therapist for assigned clients
- Facilitate IOP group therapy sessions (e.g., CBT, DBT-informed, psychoeducation, relapse prevention)
- Provide individual therapy sessions as clinically indicated
- Complete biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely and compliant manner
- Collaborate with medical, case management, and clinical leadership teams
- Participate in clinical staffing, case reviews, and program development as needed
- Maintain compliance with DCF 65D-30, ethical standards, and CBH policies and procedures
- Support a therapeutic, professional, and client-centered treatment environment
Qualifications
- Minimum: Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
- Licensure:
- Registered Intern (RMHCI, RCSWI, or equivalent) preferred, or
- Fully licensed clinician (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT)
- Experience treating mental health and substance use disorders required
- Group therapy and IOP experience strongly preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, documentation skills, and ability to work independently
- Familiarity with co-occurring disorders and evidence-based practices
