Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time or part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in the K-12 educational setting serving students along the Southeast Florida Coast. Assignments will primarily focus at single campuses with a caseload that may span elementary through middle school age groups.
Locations and schedules include:
- Dan McCarty Middle School (4 days/week) and Forest Grove Middle School (1 day/week) in Ft. Pierce, FL. This position requires providing services independently as no other SLP is onsite during service days. Each campus includes at least one InD unit.
- Oak Hammock K-8 in Port St. Lucie, FL, for 2 days per week. The school features a DHH cluster site with one SLP and one SLPA onsite full-time.
- Private School Evaluation Team based in Port St. Lucie, FL, conducting evaluations at the district office for 1 day per week. This specific role requires a CCC-SLP credential and funding extends through 05/29/25.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Active Florida licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Credentialed with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) for evaluation roles.
- Experience working in school-based settings is preferred.
- Availability to start as soon as possible through June 2, 2026.
Duties:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and deliver therapeutic interventions to K-12 students.
- Collaborate with educational staff to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school and state guidelines.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning and meetings as required.
This is a contract position in a public school district that does not offer remote or hybrid work options.
