We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various massage techniques and be committed to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves assessing patient needs, delivering therapeutic massage treatments, and contributing to overall wellness in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and tailor massage treatments accordingly.
- Perform various types of massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to alleviate pain and promote relaxation.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments, progress, and any relevant medical history.
- Document client information accurately and confidentially, following state requirements.
- Educate patients on the benefits of massage therapy and provide recommendations for ongoing care.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in the treatment area, ensuring a safe environment for patients.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices in massage therapy.
- Provide therapeutic massage sessions of 60 minutes or longer, using techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and prenatal (training available if needed).
- Build trusting client relationships to encourage repeat visits and referrals.
Skills
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Proficient in patient assessment techniques to accurately identify treatment needs.
- Expertise in deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy methods.
- Knowledgeable in pain management strategies to effectively address client concerns.
- Solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive experience for clients.
- Familiarity with occupational health principles is a plus.
