As a Fabrication Welder, you will be responsible for constructing and modifying vehicle components according to engineering blueprints to create armored vehicles. This hands-on role requires proficiency with various fabrication and welding equipment, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Weld armoring plates onto vehicles.
  • Polish and grind metal surfaces.
  • Perform heavy lifting.
  • Construct and modify vehicle components using engineering blueprints.
  • Assemble parts and weld during assembly.
  • Bend metal sheets as needed.


Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in MIG welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience in a fabrication shop or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work with drills, saws, grinders, and hand tools.


Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Welding Certification is a plus.
  • Experience setting up manual fabrication machines (Press, Shear, Cutters, etc.).
  • Ability to track internal inventory.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the field.
  • Knowledge of assembly practices.
  • Bilingual or Spanish-speaking is advantageous.

Work Environment

Work in a 69,000+ square foot, fully secured manufacturing facility. The role operates on a 1st shift, Monday through Thursday, from 6 am to 4:30 pm. Overtime may be required to meet client demands. Enjoy working in a dynamic environment that emphasizes safety and precision.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
