We are hiring an experienced Senior Commercial Alarm Service Technician to support fire alarm systems, access control systems, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion alarms, and life safety systems across commercial customer sites in West Palm Beach.
This role is focused on commercial service work, including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, system repairs, testing, and system optimization. This is not residential work.

Primary Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency commercial service calls
- Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion, intercom, and life safety systems
- Replace faulty components and restore full system operation
- Perform system testing, signal verification, inspections, and commissioning
- Maintain service vehicle inventory, tools, and equipment
- Provide customer instruction on system operation and functionality
- Complete service reports, work orders, and job documentation
- Support and mentor junior technicians when required
- Follow safety procedures, company standards, and job site policies
Systems You Will Service
- Fire Alarm Systems (panels, initiating devices, notification appliances)
- Access Control Systems (controllers, card readers, door hardware, mag locks, strikes)
- CCTV / Video Surveillance Systems (IP cameras, NVR/DVRs, VMS platforms)
- Intrusion / Burglar Alarm Systems
- Intercom and Nurse Call Systems (preferred experience)
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial security or life safety service experience (5+ years preferred for senior-level candidates)
- Strong troubleshooting experience with fire alarm, access control, CCTV, or alarm systems
- Working knowledge of local and national fire and life safety codes
- Experience using test equipment (multimeters, battery testers, signal testers)
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred Certifications (Not Required)
- NICET I, II, or III (Fire Alarm)
- Manufacturer certifications (Honeywell, Notifier, Lenel, Bosch, Avigilon, Genetec, Siemens, Johnson Controls)
- Experience mentoring or training technicians
- Networking fundamentals (PoE, TCP/IP, VLANs)
