IBI Clinic is looking for a Certified Surgical Technologist who is ready to commit and join our growing team in Tampa, FL, committed to traveling between our Hudson location on a Full-Time or Part-Time basis.

Your Role

Function under the direction of the registered professional nurse to assist in safe and effective patient care.

Prepare the operative suite and surgical field while maintaining strict adherence to sterile field protocols.

Gather required instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.

Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team for an efficient, organized workflow.

Exhibit expertise in progressively complex surgical cases and develop additional skills over time.

Troubleshoot instruments and equipment, ensuring optimal performance.

Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance surgical outcomes.

Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stocking of surgical supplies in the ASC and other perioperative areas.

Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and best practices.
What We’re Looking For:

Certified Surgical Technologist: Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program with a current certification.

Flexibility: Ability to travel within a 30-mile radius from home residence to support operations at Tampa, Hudson, and future locations.

Cross-Training: Open to cross-training in multiple specialties and functions.
-
Patient Coordination: Assist with patient coordination as needed to support clinical workflow.

Clinical Experience: Hands-on experience with surgical instrumentation, sterilization, and procedures.

Additional Certification: Must hold an active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of surgical technology, medical terminology, EMR System, and sterile techniques.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot instruments and equipment efficiently.

Team Player: Work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless operations.

Patient-Focused Approach: Maintain a safe, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive environment for patients.

Organizational Skills: Ability to anticipate surgical needs and ensure smooth case flow.

Leadership & Mentorship: Willingness to mentor, precept, and train others in various surgical modalities.

Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time availability.

Language Requirement: Bilingual (English & Spanish) - preferred.
Schedule:

Mon - Fri
-
1-3 Surgery days (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and some Wednesdays) per week
-
Some surgery days are unpredictable (long 10-12 hours or 2-3 days of short shifts)

Hours - 7 am - 5 pm
