Position Summary

We are currently seeking a PRN Echo Sonographer for our St. Augustine, FL location. This position is responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac echocardiography examinations while ensuring exceptional image quality and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform cardiac echocardiography exams with accuracy and professionalism

  • Greet patients and explain procedures in a clear, compassionate manner

  • Use independent judgment to adapt procedures and identify pathological findings

  • Ensure images meet diagnostic quality standards

  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and manage supply inventory

  • Respond appropriately to emergency situations (AED use, oxygen, etc.)

  • Support occasional evening or Saturday shifts

  • Float to Port Orange and Deltona locations as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required

  • Graduate of an accredited sonography program

  • Minimum of 1 year of cardiac echo sonography experience

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Adult Echo (AE) specialty required

  • Current BLS certification required

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and echocardiography procedures

  • Proficiency with ultrasound imaging equipment

  • Excellent communication and patient care skills

  • Ability to lift and move patients and equipment (up to 50 lbs)

  • Team-oriented, flexible, and dependable

Work Environment

  • Medical office and imaging exam rooms

  • Exposure to standard clinical hazards (e.g., needles, radiation)

  • Fast-paced, patient-facing environment
