Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide specialized occupational therapy services to K-12 students in a full-time itinerant role within multiple school sites. This position supports children by addressing their physical, sensory, and functional needs to enhance their learning experience and overall participation in school activities. The role is based in Orange Park, FL, with responsibilities primarily within the surrounding school district and requires on-site work only.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy evaluations, interventions, and consultations tailored to individual student needs across various age groups.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to design and implement effective therapeutic strategies.
- Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
- Manage an itinerant caseload, covering a medical leave for the remainder of the school year.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Qualifications:
- Valid and active Florida Department of Health Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
- Experience working with K-12 student populations in a school or educational setting.
- Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy principles and school-based practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage a dynamic caseload across multiple sites.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Location: Orange Park, FL (on-site only)
Employment Type: Contract through the current school year (ASAP June 1, 2026)
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
