Working Construction Lead / Foreman/Aluminum & Metal Structures Specialist

Are you a highly skilled, hands-on construction professional ready to lead projects from the front? A reputable General Contractor in Southwest Florida is seeking an experienced Working Construction Lead / Foreman to actively manage and drive our projects to successful completion. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled tradesperson who is passionate about quality, safety, client satisfaction, and is not afraid to jump in and work alongside the team.
Our geographic range spans from Collier County to Sarasota County.
Must live or be willing to relocate with the ability to report to the base office in Charlotte County.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities
The Working Construction Lead / Foreman will be a key, hands-on member of the team, serving as the on-site working leader and performing skilled tasks alongside the crew.
- Actively participate in all phases of construction including fabrication and installation of aluminum and metal structures (e.g., screen enclosures, carports, railings, etc.).
- Actively participate in all phases of construction, including rough framing, finish work, and project setup/cleanup.
- Execute and oversee demolition work, ensuring safe and efficient site clearing.
- Lead by example, directly performing tasks and coordinating the daily workflow of the construction crew and subcontractors.
- Read, interpret, and ensure accurate execution of blueprints and construction documents, paying close attention to metal-specific details.
- Maintain project scheduling, daily logistics, and material staging to optimize workflow.
- Implement and enforce all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and company safety policies.
- Serve as the onsite point of contact for clients, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Perform quality assurance checks and maintain high standards of workmanship across all trades.
- Proactively identify and solve on-site construction and design issues as they arise.
Required Qualifications
- Proven, hands-on experience in the construction industry as a skilled tradesperson.
- Ability to work independently and find solutions to challenges that arise.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret building plans and construction specifications.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and the project team.
- Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License with a driving record that supports insurability.
Desirable Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will possess a combination of experiences in the construction industry that may include the below. While not all are required in terms of experience, a willingness and ability to learn is critical.
- Experience in installation, repair, or fabrication of aluminum and metal structures
- Experience in multiple construction trades (e.g., framing, finish carpentry, drywall).
- Direct experience performing demolition and site preparation.
- Knowledge of technical construction methods, materials, and sequencing.
- Familiarity with local building codes, zoning laws, and regulatory compliance in SWFL.
- Familiarity with pre-construction administrative processes such as permitting and inspection.
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification (or ability to obtain) is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating and inspecting a variety of hand and power tools and construction equipment, particularly those used for metalwork.
