Summary: The Golf Maintenance Laborer plays a crucial role in ensuring the golf course is maintained to the highest standards, providing an exceptional experience for all players. This position involves a variety of tasks aimed at preserving the aesthetics and functionality of the course, including mowing, landscaping, and equipment maintenance. The laborer will work closely with the maintenance team to implement seasonal care strategies and respond to the unique challenges presented by the course environment. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality are essential, as the condition of the course directly impacts customer satisfaction and overall business success. Ultimately, the Golf Maintenance Laborer contributes to creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for golfers of all skill levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine mowing and trimming of grass areas, ensuring a well-manicured appearance.
  • Assist in the maintenance of landscaping features, including flower beds, trees, and shrubs.
  • Operate and maintain various golf course maintenance equipment, such as tractors, mowers, and blowers.
  • Monitor course conditions and report any issues related to turf health, irrigation, or pest control.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to execute seasonal maintenance plans and special projects.

Requirements:

Qualification Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.

Basic knowledge of landscaping and turf management practices.
