Computer IT Solutions (compits.net) is a trusted Managed Services Provider (MSP) offering comprehensive IT solutions for small businesses and residential clients across Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Since 2012, we’ve specialized in building, maintaining, and securing IT environments with an emphasis on reliability, performance, and personal service. Our services span infrastructure management, cloud hosting, Exchange email, cybersecurity response, data backup, remote monitoring, and field-based technical support.

Position: Field Technician – Computer, Server & Network Support

We’re expanding and looking for a skilled and personable IT Field Technician to join our growing team. You’ll provide on-site and remote support to a diverse client base, solving complex problems and ensuring systems remain secure and efficient. This role offers hands-on experience with hardware, software, cloud systems, and modern IT tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and other peripherals.
• Perform system upgrades, software installations, and routine maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues (LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless connectivity).
• Deploy and support firewalls, routers, switches, and other networking devices.
• Respond to cybersecurity audits with remediation plans and solutions.
• Document service calls, maintain client communication, and provide status updates.

Skills & Requirements:

• Reliable Transportation: Must have a personal vehicle and a valid Florida Driver’s License.
• Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ are highly valued. Additional certifications a plus.
• OS Expertise: Windows 10/11, Server 2016–2022, Microsoft Exchange, familiarity with Mac OS X. Linux knowledge is a bonus.
• Software: Strong with Microsoft 365, Outlook, diagnostic tools, backup systems (Veeam), and virtualization (Hyper-V).
• Communication: Clear communicator with excellent client-facing skills and professionalism.
• Character: Integrity, punctuality, good judgment, and a team-first attitude are essential.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Associate’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of fieldwork or helpdesk support. Strong resume required.
