Job Summary
The SMT Operator is responsible for running the SMT machine in accordance with the build plan and work instructions as directed by the Manager or line leads. The position requires performing a range of SMT production tasks to ensure consistency of the production plan, including operating SMT machinery, working on products and components, maintaining records, handling PCB assemblies, and various other duties.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and mechanical inclination required, along with electronic manufacturing experience. Experience with assemblies on SMT machines, AOI systems, DEK Screen Printers and Convection Oven Temperature Profiling helpful.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Load/unload, monitor basic machine functions, and perform visual checks under supervision
- Use of our ERP system to complete shop orders through a PC
- Perform tasks to work instructions
- Understand product drawings and BOMs
- Running pick-and-place (PnP), screen printers, reflow ovens, and AOI equipment
- Performing daily preventative checks and cleaning
- Other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor or line lead

Education and Experience
- Soldering experience and knowledge of proper soldering techniques are desired
- Computer experience required, knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Engineering education is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Standing for the entire shift
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee may occasionally be required to walk, sit, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

2 positions on day shift M-Th 6am-330pm and Fri 6am-10am
1 position night shift M-Th 3pm-1230am and Fri 10am-2pm (this position receives 10% more $ for a shift differential)
40 hours per week plus occasional OT
Compensation details: 18-20 Yearly Salary
