Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A dynamic opportunity is available for licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support K-12 students in a well-established Florida public school district spanning from Oldsmar to Plant City and down to Ruskin. This contract position runs from August 12, 2025, through May 23, 2026, with the possibility of renewal based on performance.

Locations and Scheduling:Candidates may select from multiple school settings, including elementary, middle, K-8, and high schools with caseloads averaging around 55 students. Work schedules offer flexibility, ranging from 1 to 5 days per week with standard 7.5-hour days. Schools such as Apollo Beach K-8, Belmont Elementary, Riverview High, and others provide varied placement options. Onsite presence is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to students with diverse communication needs
  • Manage caseloads effectively, utilizing dedicated or shared therapy spaces
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and complete district-specific reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and the speech team to support student success
  • Adhere to district protocols including mandatory fingerprinting and badge procurement processes

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Florida SLP license must be active before start date
  • Candidates with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship (CF) status are welcome; CF candidates must arrange their own supervision
  • Ability to commute within the district's geographic scope (please provide ZIP code and preferred commute distance)
  • Comfort with technology, including use of district-provided laptops
  • Willingness to participate in a conversational Zoom interview with the districts SLP coordinator
