Job Title: Engineer
Job Summary: Join our dynamic team at The Current Hotel, part of the Marriott Autograph Collection- a curated portfolio of unique hotels, each with its own story.
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Engineer to maintain and enhance the hotels physical facilities, ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience.
Essential Functions:
Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair technical issues promptly to minimize disruptions to hotel operations.
Collaborate with management to develop and implement effective maintenance plans and energy-saving initiatives.
Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Respond to guest and staff maintenance requests efficiently and courteously.
Maintain detailed logs of maintenance work, inspections, and equipment servicing.
Support renovation projects and capital improvement initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in hotel or facilities maintenance engineering, with a focus on HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems.
Relevant certifications (e.g., EPA Certification, HVAC License) are a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment.
Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks as outlined above.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously throughout the shift.
Frequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds independently, and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolding, and work at heights when needed.
Perform repetitive motions, including bending, kneeling, and reaching.
Tolerate varying temperatures, including exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
Have sufficient manual dexterity to handle tools and small parts.
