Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00PM EST, 2 Days in Office a Week

Job Summary:

LHH is currently recruiting for a law firm in the Tampa area. The client is seeking a skilled and experienced Legal Assistant with a strong background in civil litigation. This hybrid position requires candidates to reside in the greater Tampa area. 2 Days in Office is required by the candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • E-filing in Florida State and Federal courts

  • Familiarity with civil and arbitration procedures/filings

  • Maintain attorney calendars (meetings, depositions, mediations, travel)

  • Coordinate with outside law firms for scheduling

  • Proofread and finalize legal documents (correspondence, pleadings, discovery, motions)

  • Prepare and file pleadings and discovery documents

  • Open and close legal files

  • Manage correspondence with law firms, clients, and insurance carriers

  • Organize and manage heavy document loads

  • Track deadlines using docketing and calendar systems

  • Assist multiple attorneys with trial preparation

Requirements:

  • 5–10 years of experience in general liability or insurance defense

  • Experience supporting multiple attorneys or managing a caseload of 100+ cases

  • Proficiency in scheduling hearings, depositions, CMEs, and mediations

  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • Experience with iManage system

  • Comfortable with using e-filing systems

PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.



Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
