We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and dedicated Permanent Litigation Attorney to join our distinguished legal team. This is a unique opportunity to work on high-profile cases and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional legal services. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil and commercial litigation, trial practice, and personal injury litigation. They will be adept at case strategy and treatment, trial and settlement, and maintaining communication with clients, carriers, and defense counsel. This role requires an individual with a passion for justice, an analytical mind, and a commitment to client service.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Litigation Attorney, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Develop and implement case strategies, treatment, and trial and settlement plans.
2. Maintain regular communication with clients, carriers, and defense counsel to ensure all parties are updated on case progress.
3. Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
4. Manage the post-settlement process, including reviewing closing statements, final balances, and liens.
5. Utilize strong negotiation and trial preparation skills to ensure optimal outcomes for our clients.
6. Draft and review various legal documents and pleadings.
7. Conduct thorough and detailed legal research to support case strategies and legal proceedings.
8. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient and effective case management.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:
1. Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. At least 2-3 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in civil litigation, commercial litigation, and trial practice.
3. Demonstrated experience in personal injury litigation.
4. Proven track record in case strategy, treatment, trial, and settlement.
5. Excellent negotiation skills and experience with trial preparation.
6. Exceptional legal writing skills.
7. The ability to attend depositions, hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
8. Experience managing the post-settlement process, including reviewing closing statements, final balances, and liens.
9. Active member of the state bar in good standing.
10. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
11. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain effective relationships with clients, carriers, and defense counsel.
12. Commitment to maintaining the highest level of professional and ethical standards.
