Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced High School ELA (English Language Arts) Teacher to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to develop strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state and school standards
- Facilitate interactive classroom discussions and activities to foster student learning and participation
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their written work and performance
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and administrators to continuously improve curriculum and instructional methods
- Maintain accurate student records and communicate effectively with parents/guardians
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Valid state teaching certification or license preferred but could be acquired within one year of start date
- Minimum 3-5 Â years of experience teaching high school English/ELA
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $50,000+ DOE
