High-Precision Quality Inspector – Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing
Are you a detail-obsessed technician who believes "close enough" is never enough? PrideStaff is recruiting for the "Technical Elite" to join two of West Palm Beach’s premier manufacturing leaders in the Aerospace, Aviation, and High-Precision Defense sectors.
The Opportunity: Where Precision Meets Purpose
Our clients are storied leaders in high-stakes manufacturing, producing mission-critical components for the aerospace and defense industries. In these environments, there is a 0% margin for error. We are looking for Quality Assurance Inspectors who view themselves as the final line of defense—ensuring that every component, from raw intake to final assembly, meets the absolute highest standards of reliability and safety.
The Technical Standard: Prove Your Skills
To ensure we hire only the best, qualified candidates will be required to complete a hands-on technical assessment prior to a final interview. You must be prepared to:
- Demonstrate flawless use of a micrometer and other precision hand tools.
- Accurately interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T symbols on the fly.
Key Responsibilities: Operations & Leadership
- Comprehensive Inspection: Perform rigorous incoming, in-process, and final inspections on complex machined parts with tight tolerances.
- Tool Mastery: Utilize a full suite of advanced metrology equipment, including Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gages, CMM (Zeiss/Calypso), Keyence, and Rockwell Testers.
- Documentation & Traceability: Maintain precise, audit-ready records of all findings and submit detailed quality reports to management.
- Process Improvement: Actively identify production trends or deviations and collaborate with the engineering team to implement permanent solutions.
- Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a workspace that reflects the precision of the parts you inspect.
What You Bring to the Team
- Expert Measurement Skills: Proficient with standard hand tools, optical comparators, and surface plates.
- Blueprint Literacy: A deep, "second nature" understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T).
- Mathematical Proficiency: A strong grasp of Trigonometry and advanced mathematics for full dimensional layouts.
- Mechanical Aptitude: A natural ability to understand how complex parts interact within a mechanical assembly.
- Software Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office; previous experience with ERP systems is a significant plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour (Direct Hire and Temp-to-Hire opportunities available).
- Stability: Full-time positions within stable, precision-driven manufacturing environments.
- Career Growth: Real opportunities for cross-training in advanced metrology and CMM programming for motivated technicians.
- PrideStaff Advantage: Partner with an award-winning team (15-year Diamond Award winners) that advocates for your career growth.
