Job Description
As a Security Officer - Healthcare Rover Patrol in Boca Raton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns, documenting events, and communicating with site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and/or help to deter suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
- Monitor access points and interior areas, assist with visitor management and wayfinding, and help maintain orderly conditions in waiting areas and other public spaces.
- Support patient care operations by providing security-related assistance such as staff escorts, responding to disruptive behavior, and helping maintain controlled access to restricted areas in accordance with site policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
