Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Soldering/ Assembly Associate to join our production team at a leading lighting manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic soldering techniques, particularly in the assembly of lighting components, and will be committed to delivering high-quality, defect-free products. You will work closely with other technicians and engineers to ensure that all electrical components are properly soldered and assembled to meet both functional and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform precision soldering on lighting components, including circuit boards, wiring, and connectors, following company specifications and technical drawings.
- Assemble and install electrical components such as LED drivers, transformers, and control systems into lighting fixtures.
- Inspect solder joints and connections for quality, ensuring they meet industry standards and pass visual and functional inspections.
- Follow all safety and quality control procedures during the soldering process, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Troubleshoot and repair any defects or issues with soldered components or assemblies.
- Maintain clean and organized workstations, ensuring tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure timely completion of orders and adherence to production schedules.
- Assist with inventory management of soldering materials, such as solder wire, flux, and tools.
- Document work completed, including any issues encountered or solutions implemented, in production reports.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; vocational training or certification in soldering or electronics is a plus.
- Previous experience in soldering, electronics assembly, or a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in hand-soldering techniques, particularly with surface-mount devices (SMD) and through-hole components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to soldering and handling of electrical components.
- Strong attention to detail and high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify issues with soldered connections and components.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
