Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Physical Therapist position is available to provide specialized services within a K-12 public school setting in the Tavares, FL area. The role is a contract assignment through the current school year, offering the opportunity to work directly with students across multiple school locations in Lake County. This position requires an on-site presence and supports a caseload of approximately 40 active students, with itinerant work as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to K-12 students
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Manage a caseload across multiple school sites, providing consultative and hands-on services
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
- Participate in the districts two-part onboarding process and credentialing requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Physical Therapist license required
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred but not mandatory
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork within educational environments
- Ability to manage multiple locations and adapt service delivery to varied student needs
- Flexibility and responsiveness to scheduling requirements, including onboarding and internal interviews

- Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week), 8 hours/day plus 30-minute unpaid break
