Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity involves providing speech-language pathology services in a K-12 school setting located in Punta Gorda, FL. The role is a contract position for the current school year (CSY), focused on delivering assessment and therapy to students within the school district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies.
- Provide supervision to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), if applicable.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Florida teacher certification and/or state licensure in speech-language pathology.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but candidates holding the Certificate of Clinical Fellowship (CF) are also considered.
- Experience with K-12 age groups and caseload diversity.
- Ability to work on-site and manage caseload across multiple school locations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work full-time 37.5 hours per week; part-time arrangements may be considered.
Location:
- Positions are located within multiple schools primarily in the East Zone area and Lehigh Acres, FL, with some assignments near Lexington Middle School, towards the southern district boundary.
