Medical Assistant
Full-Time | $18–$22/hour | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308

The Opportunity
We’re seeking a Medical Assistant to support our clinical team — ensuring quality care, seamless patient experiences, and a smooth daily workflow. As a Medical Assistant at Florida Spine Care, you'll play a key role in both clinical and administrative support functions. From preparing patients and treatment rooms to updating medical records and assisting with procedures, you'll help create a calm, efficient, and caring environment for every patient we serve.
What You’ll Do
- Patient Care & Clinical Support
- Obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, and test results
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for medical procedures
- Assist healthcare providers during exams and procedures
- Administer medications under physician supervision
- Support patients with compassionate, respectful care before and after procedures
- Assist with the transfer of patients as needed
- Administrative & Operational Duties
- Greet and check in patients, schedule appointments, and manage phone calls
- Collect and verify necessary patient information and consent forms
- Maintain and update accurate medical records in compliance with confidentiality regulations
- Clean instruments and manage exam room inventory
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and internal protocols
- Complete annual mandatory training and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant Certification required
- BLS Certification required
- Phlebotomy Certification or equivalent experience required
- Sterile procedure experience required
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare setting required
- Skills & Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or related software
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Basic understanding of administrative systems and record-keeping
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
