Location: Lady Lake, FL

Pay: $19

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Dental Insurance Verification/Records Specialist Summary

Express Employment Professionals Clermont is seeking a Dental Insurance Verification/Records Specialist for a client in Lady Lake, FL. In this role, you must have dental insurance experience to ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient insurance information to support efficient billing, claims processing, and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits for upcoming dental appointments.
• Research plan details including coverage percentages, limitations, waiting periods, and exclusions.
• Obtain necessary pre-authorizations or pre-determinations for treatment plans.
• Enter and update insurance data accurately in the practice management system.
• Communicate benefit details and cost estimates to patients and front office staff.
• Contact insurance carriers to resolve unclear or conflicting coverage information.
• Answer billing questions.
• Prepare and send statements.
• Track and follow up on pending authorizations and verifications.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all verification activities.
• Some accounts receivable.
• Stay current with insurance policy changes, coding updates, and dental billing procedures.
• Adhere to HIPAA and all patient confidentiality regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 1 year of dental insurance verification experience.
• Experience with dental software. Dentrix experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of dental insurance plans, coverage types, and terminology.
• Knowledge of CDT and ADA codes preferred.
