Apollo Electrical Services, Inc. is expanding its' market and services to include the regular maintenance of generators.
Job Description
As a member of the Apollo Electrical Services, Inc team, you are responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, installations, and repairs of all makes and models and a variety of sizes, as well as providing excellent customer service and keeping accurate records. Generator Technicians will perform troubleshooting of commercial and industrial diesel/natural gas generators.

- Perform regular maintenance on generators and related systems
- Troubleshoot and repair generator issues (all brands)
- Install, test and commission new generators and related equipment
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and inventory levels
- Participate in call rotations and be available for emergency repairs
- Monitor the performance of the generators and recommend improvements/upgrades
Skills & Knowledge
- Must be certified and/or have completed a technical program in electrical or mechanical engineering and equivalent work experience
- Must have 7 to 10 years as a commercial Generator Technician on all brands
- Experience with welding as needed to perform maintenance
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Valid driver's license
Requirements
- Must have own tools
- Prior fleet equipment maintenance/repair experience
- Experience in industrial and/or commercial business
- Ability to read/understand contracts & manuals related to equipment
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures & legal regulations/guidelines
- Demonstrated excellent critical thinking & problem-solving abilities
- Ability to travel to various work sites - 80% travel in this role
- Must be able to withstand climate and environmental conditions that are associated with working outside as well as indoors with generator machinery
- Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, reach overhead, push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs
- Normal vision range (with or without corrective eyewear); ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols 100% of the time
