Apollo Electrical Services, Inc. is expanding its' market and services to include the regular maintenance of generators.

Job Description

As a member of the Apollo Electrical Services, Inc team, you are responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, installations, and repairs of all makes and models and a variety of sizes, as well as providing excellent customer service and keeping accurate records. Generator Technicians will perform troubleshooting of commercial and industrial diesel/natural gas generators.

Job Specifics

• Perform regular maintenance on generators and related systems
• Troubleshoot and repair generator issues (all brands)
• Install, test and commission new generators and related equipment
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and regulations
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and inventory levels
• Participate in call rotations and be available for emergency repairs
• Monitor the performance of the generators and recommend improvements/upgrades

Skills & Knowledge

• Must be certified and/or have completed a technical program in electrical or mechanical engineering and equivalent work experience
• Must have 7 to 10 years as a commercial Generator Technician on all brands
• Experience with welding as needed to perform maintenance
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Valid driver's license

Requirements

• Must have own tools
• Prior fleet equipment maintenance/repair experience
• Experience in industrial and/or commercial business
• Ability to read/understand contracts & manuals related to equipment
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures & legal regulations/guidelines
• Demonstrated excellent critical thinking & problem-solving abilities
• Ability to travel to various work sites - 80% travel in this role
• Must be able to withstand climate and environmental conditions that are associated with working outside as well as indoors with generator machinery
• Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, reach overhead, push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs
• Normal vision range (with or without corrective eyewear); ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols 100% of the time
