Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our primary care physician (PCP) office. This role will primarily serve a Creole-speaking population, requiring excellent communication skills in both English and Creole. The Front Desk Receptionist will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming environment and efficient operation of the front office.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction:
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in both English and Creole.
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
Administrative Tasks:
- Collect patient information and verify insurance coverage.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
- Process patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
Communication:
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring all relevant information is conveyed.
- Provide information about services, policies, and procedures to patients.
Billing and Payments:
- Assist patients with billing questions and process payments as needed.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are handled accurately and securely.
Office Maintenance:
- Keep the front desk area tidy and organized.
- Assist with inventory management of office supplies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare or administration is a plus.
- Bilingual in English and Creole (required).
- Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using office equipment and basic computer skills.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, with possible evening or weekend hours.
