Phlebotomist / Medical Assistant – Part-Time (Boca Raton) – Hiring ASAP
Pay: $15–$16.50/hour to start, with the possibility of a raise every 60 days
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday – 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM (16 hours/week)

We’re urgently hiring a part-time Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant to join our growing wellness lab in Boca Raton. This is a morning-only role (no nights, no weekends) in a calm, low-volume draw site—perfect for someone who wants steady hours and room to grow as our patient volume increases. Interviews are being scheduled immediately for a January start.
About Avendano Health
Avendano Health Medical Wellness & Lab is a CLIA-waived wellness lab and phlebotomy draw site. We partner with national lab platforms and specialty testing companies to provide blood draws, lab kits, and wellness services in a professional, patient-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform venipuncture safely and efficiently on adult patients
• Prepare and process lab kits and blood specimens for shipment (labeling, tubes, packaging; centrifuging if needed)
• Follow strict chain-of-custody and labeling procedures to prevent redraws or lost samples
• Check in patients, verify identity, and complete basic intake information
• Collect payments using a simple POS system (tap to pay, Apple Pay, etc.)
• Keep the draw room and work area clean, organized, and well-stocked
• Assist with light administrative tasks (confirming appointments, answering basic questions)
Requirements
• Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience (clinic, hospital, lab, or draw site)
• Confident, high-quality venipuncture skills and comfort with multiple tubes/specialty kits
• Strong attention to detail with labeling, requisitions, and packaging
• Professional, punctual, and friendly bedside manner
• Able to work independently in a small private office environment
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required
