Job Summary:
This Electrical Engineer role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs for municipal and industrial infrastructure projects. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects related to power distribution systems, instrumentation, control systems, industrial networks, telemetry, lighting and generator systems.
Your Responsibilities as an Electrical Engineer:
- Participate in multi-discipline project teams to produce electrical design and construction drawings and specifications.
- Create designs for electrical equipment, power and control systems, with knowledge of PLC's, programming, wiring schematics, ladder logic, and industrial network architecture.
- Perform load calculations, transformer sizing, conductor selection, and develop single-line diagrams and panelboard schedules.
- Create NEC-compliant construction drawings for service upgrades and system conversions.
- Electrical design efforts for municipal infrastructure including lift stations and irrigation systems, ensuring compliance with NEC and client specifications.
- Provide CEI support by documenting electrical installations and resolving contractor design questions to ensure alignment with safety and design standards.
- Communicate technical evaluations, write reports, and coordinate with clients and project stakeholders.
- Manage design tasks within budget and schedule constraints.
- Review equipment supplier submittals and support bidding and construction phases.
- Conduct startup and commissioning field services for electrical systems.
- Stay current with the National Electric Code and other relevant standards.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Electrical discipline desired.
- Minimum of two years of electrical engineering design experience.
- Engineer Intern (EI) certification required; PE license desired.
- Experience using the following software tools:
- Rockwell/Allen Bradley PLC and Operator Interface Terminal
- SKM Power Tools
- AutoCAD
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must have an excellent driving record and have a valid driver's license as driving is an essential part of the position.
